Addiction
Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 2:34PM Hi. My name is Christine. And I am addicted to baked goods. Exhibit A: Erik and I arrived in Asheville about 48 hours ago for the North Carolina Bar Association annual meeting. In that short amount of time, I have eaten 8 different sweet treats (2 cookies, 2 cupcakes, 2 muffins, 1 clafoutis and 1 croissant). That's right. 8. That averages out to 1 every 6 hours. Including sleeping hours. I think I have a problem.
This morning, upon the recommendation of my friend Lisa, we went to the Asheville farmer's market. Most people go to farmer's markets for the wonderful fresh, seasonal produce. The only items I left with this morning (from 3 different stalls) were baked and sweet. At least a couple were seasonal.

Some of the highlights from my Asheville tour de sweets:
- mini chocolate croissant from Farm and Sparrow
- cherry clafoutis with peach ice cream at Table
- lemon blueberry cupcake from Take the Cake!
I think I need to follow some of Lisa's advice about the basics of weight loss. So that my clothes don't feel so snug. To make more room for sweets.
